An information resource on small, technology-driven companies, especially university spinouts.
Company Overviews
I have had to make this section broader than I first intended, but I think this will help make it more useful. This section includes five types of enterprises:
- University spin-outs. The traditional spinouts that come straight from academia.
- Incubator companies. The spinout's next-door-neighbors in an incubator facility.
- Licensees. Enterprises that have licensed/acquired university technologies. I have included this group because there are some spinouts that claim not to be affiliated with a university but in fact are. This sometimes happens when the founders are attempting to get around the university's technology transfer office.
- In formation. Companies just just coming together now.
- Competitors. Competing companies that I am currently researching.
